Recently my brake pedal depressed and never came completely back to it's original position. The Pedal is sunk down about half an inch and is not hitting the brake light sensor when it returns, so my brake lights are staying on. The pedal feels pretty firm too. Could this be my master cylinder? My car still brakes normal, the pedal just feels a little firmer.

That could be; the master cylinder, brake booster, pedal box, lines, or ABS module. Check to see if any of the calipers are engaged as that could point to a problem in the lines or ABS module. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
