    removing ABS all together

what do you guys think of this?

I'm running willwood SL6R front calipers and SL-4 rear with a 25mm master cylinder. I'm thinking of removing the ABS and only running a bias valve.

this car is used for the track but will be street legal.

Tires are falken Azenis rt-615 or something stickier later-on.

I would highly suggest running new lines instead of trying to use the lines that are already there.

Actually, for the rear you just need a short one to go down to the stock bias valve at the frame rail on the fire wall. Then for the fronts it would be easy to just run the new lines to the frame rail next to where the rear line sits and join them using a T. Then all you have to do is run another short line like you did for the rear.

          as pierced said ^

i've removed abs before using leftover tubing. there are lengths that would work and for the new bends, you just need to be really careful. ....thats the free way of doing it :D

I've removed abs in both my e30's that i've had. Its honestly personal preference but it makes a world of difference. That paired with my stainless lines on stock brakes rivals any aftermarket BBK. Anyways, run new lines. You run the short line down to the bias valve for the rear as Pierced said and then run a short line for the fronts down to a t-fitting and then off from there to your left and right front brakes. I couldn't find any metric t-fittings so I cut the ends off the lines and put on standard fittings and flared the lines then joined them with a standard t-fitting since it was readily available at the local auto parts store. PM me if you have any questions.

Yeah, I would like to remove mine too. Some pictures would be cool, although I suppose I could figure it out.

My ABS is disabled anyway and the pump, although possibly good, is just dead weight right now. Plus, the ABS system in these cars has a quirk in that it can cause a loss of braking during track situations. Most of the PRO3 guys have removed or disabled the system.

Yeah pictures would be great for those of us that are just learning but if im correct all it is, is taking the line from the master cylinder to the abs pump disconnect it and connecting directly to the line that goes to your calipers.

Do you have a problem with low pedal and this brake-setup?
