    e-brake cable

    Ran into a little snag, but anyone has a diy on disconnecting the ebrake cable. i feel dumb as I can't figure it out.

    inside rear rotor, on bottom where you see cable run in, theres a sorta banana shape stamped metal thingy that the cable runs to. It is two pieces, one is like a shieth that you have to pry/rotate to expose the pin that runs through the ebrake cable.

    Sorry it's late, I'm tired, but basically look at where ebrake goes in to that assembly, pry the outer metal thing 45* or so out so you can see the pin, then tap the pin through to free the ebrake. If you're rebuilding it you may as well remove the shoes first so there's no interference at all. If it's rusty use pb blaster on everything first before trying the pry/tap through. Good luck.
