    clicking subframe/alignment

I think I read somewhere if the subframe isn't mounted correctly it can make a clicking sound. Is this true and has anyone figured out how to correct this. My IE green subframe mounts are really getting on my nerves now and I really wish I had just gone with OE rubber mounts. Any suggestions on if I need to preload, adjust etc.

yes I've done a search and there is nothing specific to address the irritating noise with solid rear subframe bushings. I'm guessing most people just live with it.

I greased mine up with a nice marine grade synthetic grease upon installation and have not had a peep out of them yet.

now I really need to check and see if they are lubed

pops did the install and in a previous thread, it was thought that if the bushings weren't lubed in would make a creaking noise, didn't know it could also cause a clicking/binding noise. I'm really dreading the tear down. Anyone removed IE subframe bushings without removing the subframe? I only ask because I wasn't the one who installed them but will be the one to relube them since the car is with me now.

I took the plate off before but it seems like that bushing is in there real good-perhaps a puller of some sort?

My IE green sf bushings are completely silent. They're supposed to be installed dry - the subframe isn't a moving part after all.

I don't think yours are installed correctly. Is everything lined up?
