    Turners $209 brake kit?

The m30 is working but was told I should really consider doing at least the front brakes.

Well if I'm going to do the fronts, I am going to do the rears also so I was looking at turner motorsports kit for $209

    http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...&subcat_id=134

So I have a couple questions. I was really thinking of doing the brembo blanks. Turners website doesn't say what brand of rotors they include so has anyone bought this and can give insight into what they include?

Also, this car is going to be mostly street driving but I want to, in the spring, hopefully get it to some auto X's.

So knowing that it is going to be in the garage till next spring and autoxing should I go with the Metal Masters or the Ultimates?

Do our cars only have 2 (one front one rear) wear sensor?

Is there other things I should consider also?

Just for comparision, my total thus far, just for brembo blanks @ BMA is 131 (which is fine) and that gives me the option of using other pads...if there is other things I should consider.

    Thanks

Also check out TireRack; that's where I got my blanks. They are somewhat local, so shipping shouldn't bee too bad.

thanks for the heads up. I just emailed Turner too...and asked if they would honor BMA's free shipping over $50, cheapster but still worth it.

Is irelands Brake Upgrade Kit worth the $330. Do slotted rotors make any differnce.

Slotted rotors also kill pad life, because the whole idea behind them (at least from my understanding) is that the slots cut off a thin amount of the pad to provide a consistently clean and fresh friction surface.

the slots are to prevent the builup of gases under heavy braking, and thereby reduce brake fade. they don't make you stop any harder, just more consistently at race speeds.

OP, i bought the turner kit for my 87 325is and they were brembo blanks.

I got a kit for all four corners from Turner, they sent me Brembos. I went with Axxis Ultimates and the combo is great.

I got the same package for my car. I'm very happy with the Brembo blanks, but I need a better brake pad. the Axxis/PBR Ultimates work great from stone cold to warm, with the best power after about 2 hard stops: They are AutoX/street pads, and are NOT suited to high-temperature braking. The manufacturer advertises them as a decent track pad, but mine started to fade after one little 15-mile, 6/10ths run down my local mountain. I was very disappointed. But they do work great as street pads, though quite dusty.
