Ok I searched and didnt find an answer. I'm need control arm my friends shop can get me the OEM control arms for $105 a piece but bavauto has aftermarket ones for $79 w/free shiping. so my question is what brand do i want to stay away from? If I buy the cheaper ones is there a substantial diference in quality, will it be shot in 2 or 3 years? does anybody have experience with bavautos control arms?

I have learned the hard way to buy good parts. I would only buy lemforder control arms. Sure there are other brands such as Meyle, Trw, Hamburg technik - which despite the name is actually made in china, but the quality is shit compared to the real deal. Do it right the first time. I bought some HT control arms once upon a time and they looked like I made them out of pig iron in my back yard.1987 325is - sold

there are tons of kits on ebay that have lemforder arms, new tie rods and new control arm bushings. whole deal is usually under $200.Comment

I made my own control arms out of pig iron in my back yard.
They work great and look fine, but took me $10,000 in equipment and city permits and 4 years to make.
Sure wish I had gotten the lemforders.

I went to a Pacific Rim trade show, and saw at least 3 booths openly displaying FAKE Lemforder arms for e30.
That sucked, because now I have to buy my control arms from the dealer because I can't trust the source unless I do.
(on the race cars we change them every winter no matter what)
