    E36 subframe in a E30

    Will a e36 318 rear subframe fit in a e30?

I know the trailing arms swap over, but will the subframe?

Well, If you're bender, I'm sure you can make it fit... after you dump tons of talent and money into it.

Or I could look harder and find a E30 subframe.

Simple question, with a complicated answer.. Kinda

              Yes and no.

I found an E30 subframe but E36 ones are more readily available.

Eric Lukas tried to install a z3 subframe and his mechanic said it was 1/4 too wide - just fyi.
