Do I need to swap the MC along with the rear subframe?

No need to swap out MC.

Make sure the trailing arm came with hand brake cables, otherwise, you will need to buy new ones. Drum brake cable will not work.

I think it'd just be the easiest to find someone with a parts car and take the rear suspension from it...you can get buy with just a few things here and there but might just be easier that way.
