    Hi Alex.

The 25mm MC will "work" but you will have a pedal "too stiff" for comfort. It pushes 33% more fluid, and requires that much extra force to push. But everyone has a different comfort level... 25mm MC also works great on calipers with 1.63" and 1.75" but if you install bigger pistons in the front and keep the back stock, you will have way, way too much front bias.

What type of wheel do you currently run?

Would you recommend a swap back to the standard 21mm MC for use with your 280mm BBK?

I have driven a few customer's cars with the stock MC and it felt pretty good, especially for a daily driver. 21mm-to-25mm MC means roughly one third more effort to push the brake pedal. Maybe great around the track, but not fun around town. I'd suggest to leave your 25.4mm MC in place and judge by yourself. Then swap if you don't like it.

Thanks - that's because it hasn't been driven yet! All of those nice new parts will start getting used soon though.

Pad selection is now limited with the Dynapro as it is a new caliper, but selection will improve over months. I have no idea about fit with the RS wheel. But I have a profile in pdf format. PM me with your email and I will forward a profile. But overall, the fit shall be easy wit many, many wheels.

The older style Dynalite has a much wider selection of pads and can be used on the same brackets.
How much would it cost for the caliper/adapter brackets/hydrulic fittings? I would find my own rotor.

Actually, getting your own rotors wouldn't be difficult. They come in all sorts of quality and prices. Just increase the center bore by 1mm.

I've been using the 280mm kit with a 25mm MC for a week and I love it so far. Everything about my upgrades has been about trying to achieve "precision" and the stiff pedal only adds to that feeling so for my application it's great. There's plenty of braking power to lock up my 205 all-seasons, we'll see how it is in the summer.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress...

                        Hi Brendan.

Sorry to be half off-topic. So, you say that the 25.4mm MC is not too hard for 1.38" pistons? If so, then that's all good news for people who have already swapped their older 21mm for that bigger one. I was afraid that the force required to depress the brake pedal might be a bit too uncomfortable for a daily driver.

It's definitely stiff but I can easily lock up without straining and I have plenty of modulation in between. I had planned to swap back to the stock IX MC but I doubt I'll do that at this point.
