I am reasonably certain Lee's 300mm kit is very similar to my brake setup on my race car (11.75" x 1.25" Wilwood rotors w/ 6 piston radial mount fronts, 11.75 x .810 rear w/ 4 Piston forged superlites)
The only 15" wheels that I have found my front brakes fit inside is 15 x 8" Kosei K1s, and only with metal clamp on weights on the inside rim.
It will not even fit stick on weights inside the barrel.Jimmy P.

Jimmy -- I was able to use K1's and stick on weights with Lee's kit.
I'm not even sure how you would put metal edge weights on the K1's, there isn't really a lip to hook them too.
So -- I am in the process of swapping my front to e36 components and Lee helped me with custom rotor hats to put a 300x32 front kit on an e36 strut so I can keep my 15" wheel setup. i prefer it for purposes of fender clearance and tire availability, plus it keeps me in class for a few racing organizations (including vintage which the m3 qualifes for). I'm hoping my K1's will work with the e36 front setup, but haven't' gotten that far yet to know for sure. I went with e36 front struts because the m3 front struts are getting harder to find and if I damage or ruin one it could set me back half a race season.
I really like those K8R wheels, wish they were available in 5x120. I'm trying to avoid going to 17s as much as possibleLast edited by 1990m3; 03-01-2018, 05:49 AM.

Yeah Lee's kit is just "slightly" different that what Geoff and I did, I forget what we figured out the difference(s) were, it was very slight. I think his bracket buys a little more room than we ended up with.
Mine is very very tight.
As for the clamp on weight, yeah we just hammer them on inside and they stay just fine but the K1 was the "only" 15" wheel we ever found that fit.Jimmy P.

To add to the above.....Another update....
I got a Kosei K5R 15x8 wheel from TireRack and at first thought it would not fit. Then realized it was ET35 and with a 20mm spacer making the wheel an ET15, it will work with some shaving of the edges of the calliper. Tire Rack is out of the K5Rs now since I bought 9 of them and will be running 225/45 Hoosier R7s.
Thanks to everyone including Lee for helping me get back on the track.

After scouring almost all reputable 15" wheels to fit over the 300x32 kit, due to Wilwood's redesign of the Superlite caliper, we sourced 16" OZ Ultraleggera.
Plenty of clearance between the caliper and rim barrel.
Spoke to caliper clearance is tight, but plenty of space.
This is mounted with the standard spacers as supplied when ordering from Tirerack.

No issues with fitting the street kit behind my 15x8 +20 Trm's or my 16x7.5 +15 OZ Vegas (Not shown) Haven't tested them yet but plan to this weekend.

Hey all, a long shot, but does anyone have any updates on 15x8 wheels that would work with the 300x32 kit? I am close to just resigning myself to the fact that custom wheels are needed.
