    Which is better for handling?

I have a 318i shell that is ready for a new motor. But I was wondering if I should swap the steering from the 325es parts car I have to the 318i. I was wondering if this would be a good idea and if it would be time efficient. What is the difference between the two cars in terms of the steering?

there's no difference the steering, the ratios and racks are identical. the only way to quicken your steering ratio is with an e36 or Z3 rack.

Are all Z3 racks created equal? I remember the Z3 1.9 rack being the quickest of all racks that fit in the E30 (2.4 turns lock to lock or something) but they seem to be lumped together with all the other Z3s of the same year when you look them up.
