Lowering springs are noisy and rough riding

I installed H&R lowering springs all around last year and cheaped out and put KYB shocks on as well.
I just got the car out of storage in the middle of pothole season this year and this setup is noisy and rides too rough.
Should I put the stock springs back on or is there some other solution to this issue?
    Thanks
    Paul

My car came with the red H&R race springs and I've experienced a very similar thing. After talking to a few guys that run the Spec class out here in the PNW it seems the general consensus is H&R is junk. I plan on switching to full Ground Control at some point.

Are the spring pads still on it?

I would have to look but I am pretty sure they are. The coils sit on top of each other so there is no possibility of compression. I think the bump stops are touching and that why I hear the springs rattle, like they are loose,
I also wonder if my choice of shocks was part of the problem and a stiffer shock might help?
I wonder if anyone makes a thicker pad for the shorter springs?

There is compression but not a lot. H&R designed them with 'dead' coils in the middle on purpose. Looks like a bad design in my opinion but it serves a purpose. Are the KYB's designed for a lowered ride height? If not they may be part of the problem. I have Koni in the rear and the ride is okay but I feel like it be better. Noise on my end is mostly from sway bar.
