FK Springs and Shocks - any one tried them?

I am considering getting a set for my '86 325e. Still running stock and after having experienced Bilstein HDs on my '81 528i, I would love to get the Bilsteins. However the cost is quite expensive for us Canucks for the Bilsteins and H&R springs (or Eibachs).

The 4 corners can be outfitted with FK sport springs, shocks and struts for about $600 cdn (a pretty fair price in my book).

Anyone tried this setup? And advice?

    Thanks.

So far so good, no complaints......

We actualy i did complain my 35mm/40mm spings were too low......then they sent me e30 touring springs for free, which are too high.........so im jus keeping the original ones i got.

But other the that im happy.

The shocks are not that good. Their springs are excellent. You can buy their springs separately 35/40 mm or 60/40 mm springs.

www.amimotorsports.com sells them. There is another site for the springs, I'll find it later.

They have lifetime warrenty, so why wouldn't they be good? justify ur claim

Mainly a few people have had their shocks are not up to par with other shocks. Simply by word of mouth, and by what I read occasionally, I don't have cold hard evidence. There aren't many, but even if they do have a warranty, they still aren't very stellar shocks compared to Koni or Bilstein.

I have some Bilsteins for sale though, so I might be a bit biased. ;)

I've heard about the same thing over on VWVortex where A LOT of people run FK. There have been quite a few people that have had the shocks go bad after a short period of time. That being said there are other people that swear by FK and the vast majority of people don't have any issues with them.

fuck that, i run their whole suspension and couldnt be happier, its stiff as fuck, but everyone here runs their mouth when they dont know and will tell you its soft, its not. its stiff, but i love it, i would reccomend them to anyone, and call jessie at AMI motorsports in canada, you can get it for cheap because they price match, they did $580 shipped for me, for the FK high tech kit (springs and shocks) give it a shot,

FYI - I talked to AMI yesterday about FK 60/40 springs and they don't have any. They said the last few batches have been dropping the NA cars too much and they can't figure out why, until they do they won't have any for sale. Said at least 8 weeks, so I'd check back early next year.

Anyone know any other place to get them??

I have no experience with FK stuff, so I can't speak from experience. However, I can say that the company itself don't seem to be doing so hot right now, I know that their distributer in BC is gone now. So I don't know how long the after service or any sort would remain.

Anyways, if you are thinking about FK stuff thoroughly on pricing, well right now is the time to take advantage of the great Canadian dollar! You could pick up Bilstein Sports and H&R sports for a good price now. (eBay, shox.com ...)
FYI. I paid 1000 CDN mine locally. Im sure I couldve found a better deal, but i was impatinet and didn't feel like waiting for a shipment from down the border.

                              I've considered that!

On Shox.com I can get the whole setup for about $600 usd which with our $$cdn doing well is not that bad at all. I may just have to bite the bullet and get er done.

First I have to fix my broken sway bar :(
