Did you ever see that (brand new blown Bilstein)

I finally received and installed my Bilstein Sport and after about 150km (90 miles) of use one of the rear ones is already leaking. What could have possibly occured that ? The shocks have never bottomed out, they're running very well and I installed them only last Friday.

I would hope so, for the OP's sake.

I wrote to Bilstein Canada and waiting news from them. I already waited about 1 month because they had delay in shipping. I hope they'll be quick this time. :x

With a small wrench, 6mm if I'm correct.

My right rear is shot after less than a month of use. I can't find my warranty so I guess I'll have to buy another. Money down the drain - I won't buy or recommend Bilstein's again.

they rebuild them for 65 bucks. And are one of the best shock companys around. I would give them a call.

If you purchase another send that one back after the you have the receipt. Or maybe they rebuild like Koni it's a one for one swap. If they determine the damage was not abuse they keep the one you sent them and the ones they rebuilt they sell again.

You will have to take it up with the vendor you bought them from. Call them first.

I have a NIB set, and the seal on one of the rears was leaky before I even installed them. Unfotunatley, I dont know which vendor they were bought from, so Bilstein refused to cover it. 65 to rebuild, which is not bad if you didnt have to eat the shipping cost both ways.

So $65 rebuilt when a new one from most places is 89....hmm I'd just order another and send back the damaged one... shipping will get you to 89 almost off the bat.

Bilstein wouldn't help you? Doesn't sound like them. They rebuilt my J stocks for a 1/3 of the cost new. Was happy with their customer support.

Nope. I have the original box, everything except the original receipt.
