So, I asked a similar question recently, but I'm still having problems.
I have IE rear shock mounts and bilstiens. I have them mounted with the top washer, bottom washer and no protective sleeve. As it sits now, the shock rod keeps punching through the bottom washer. As some of you know, the shock rod only has a very small lip for the washer to sit on. I'm tempted to have a thread tapped on the outside of the shock so that I could place a nut to create a larger bearing area for the lower washer.
I don't want to do this because I know that there must be people with the same setup and no modification to the shock rod.
Can somebody post a picture of their assembly? Maybe I'm missing a part.
