Weldable sway bar links (M3 Style)..Location?

I am going to be redoing my suspension and wanted to add the M3 style sway bar links to the strut towers. The tabs from AKG are pictured below. I wrote them to see if there were instructions for placement of the tabs as I have never found a good write-up as to exact location to weld these on and this was their response:

    "Hello,
What you are describing below is not how these tabs are to be used. We recommend they be installed by an experienced mechanic/welder in order to get the proper placement.
Thanks for your interest in our products."

What kind of response is that?
So, anyway....Does anyone have the exact location and/or drawings pictures ect for the correct placement....Or any other ideas would be appreciated...
And BTW....I have been welding for 20+ years...:D

Get the links. Put them on the bar, bolt the bar to the tab. With the car sitting on the ground and the bar "arms" level to the ground, mark the new tab location.

Basically what I am gonna do is as above (^), but I am gonna pop the wheels off and put jackstands under the outer ball joints, so there is a decent semblance of vehicle weight on them.

With the links on and the sway bar arms parallel to the ground, I will tack them on, then pull the struts, take them apart, etc.

does anyone have a good measurement for the tabs' location? I'm considering doing this mod but do not have the m3 links yet.
