    Suspension gremlin!!!

Okay, I have a 1989 325i and i have put bilstein sports with eibach pro kit springs. A new rack and pinion, and a set of konig remember rs. the problem is i have a bad shimmy in my front end. when i hit my brakes it gets worse so i figure it has to be in the front. the brake pedal doesnt pulse so it isn't the rotors, and also they have been replaced. it doesnt do it until i get about 50 mph and smoothes out at about 75 mph and then the whole car shakes after about 85 mph. i checked the tie rod ends when i replaced the rack and they were tight. also i have tried to push on the tire with it jacked up and it didnt flex so i don't think it is the control arm. i have had this problem since i have owned the car which has been over 3 years. it has over 200,000 miles on it and i think it could be some worn out bushings. does that sound right? i now some need to be replaced because the steering isnt as tight as it probally should be. what do u guys think and if u do think it is the bushing then which ones need to be replaced. thanks for your help.

    checked control arms bushings?

did you align the car after lowering?

long shot, but did you put strut mounts together properly?

put hands on your tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and move back and forth, if you hear noises, check your tierods and control arms.

Double Post, sorry. Something is wrong, I see this thread as two separate ones, and when I post in one, other one doesn't show my reply until I post for the second time. Something's fishy.

yes i had the car aligned after i had the car lowered and i had a guy that worked at a suspensin shop help with the struts because i didn't have a spring compressor, and at replaced the rotors hoping that could be it. i also jacked the car up and tried to rock the wheel but it seemed tight. i think i will take the car to a shop and have the wheels rebalanced to see if maybe they messed up there, but what else do u guys think because if it's not the wheels then i am stumped! how probable is it that the hub is bad?
