    Is this a good deal?

I kinda want the M3 offset and all my ball joints are dead. It seems like such a better deal than the $270 alone in labor I just got quoted to replace my stock ball joints.

    Thoughts?

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

I only use Lemforder parts for Control arms & tie rods. It's the safest way to go (and the best part). Email or call patrick at BMA parts to see how much he can get a set to you for.

Otherwise, I guess It's a good deal. Just not sure on the quality of the part.

^ What he said on the quality of the parts.
Lemforder is the way to go and its been known for ever that the FPc-Groton parts are basically junk.

Plus what do those crap control arms have to do with M3 offset bushings ?

any first hand experience with this particular part? or just in general the parts are crap? I'm just looking for the cheapest quality solution for my destroyed ball joint problem.

M3 control arms are offset IIRC. Thats why ppl use them for 5 lug swaps.

the ones you posted aren't even for the 97+ e36 m3. And putting those on a stock e30 is just going to move your wheel forward in the fender, hopefully not what you are after.

I generally buy German patrs through shop a shop account so I've never ran the FPC's on any of my cars.
Generally though the consensus is that they are something that you'd put on a car you were going to sell but on your keeper you want German susp parts.

But if $$ is your main concern then just go for the lower quality FPC parts.

Oh and you are mistaken about the control arms being offset.
All generations of M3's have different offset LowerControlArmBushings for increased caster and those are what lots of guys run in non-M's be they 4-lug or 5-lug.

The guys that run E36 5-lug front suspension need NEED to run 96+ E36 M3 control arms AND offset LCAB's just to bring the front end within specs (or nearly within spec) .

I said Cheapest Quality parts. Not cheapest. Pelican has the Lemforder ones for twice as much. is there anywhere else that sells them for cheaper?

paying money for the real deal sucks but 8 years later when that shit is fine even after all the abouse you put it through it will totally be worth it. just do it right the first time. Also doing control arms kinda sucks haha. the right one is such a bitch left one is way easy though. But I know you drift so getting solid bushing in general you will feel a difference. I got the offset bushings and felt a difference

So, you wanted to cheap out on a crucial part of your car, and then buy a very unnecessary and expensive lolipop? Wow. . .

The only time you would need those would be when you are seriously, seriously racing.

who said cheap out? Why would you pay more money if there is something out there cheaper that does the same job? I just found those and asked if it was good before buying it. It's called doing research before buying stuff. Cheaping out would be me buying it out right then asking.

Swear, some of you ppl are morons...

Says the guy who just bought the most excessive and unnecessary lolipops.

Not to mention the guy who thought the M3 control arms were offset.

added caster, slightly longer wheel base and crisper feel on a track only car. Yea, unnecessary.

Ooooh I thought something and was wrong. I'm dumb! Glad you have a 100% perfect memory.
