cannot get inner tierods off e36 rack...

I am trying to install my e36 rack but I cannot get the inner tie rods off. I bent back the locking plate but cannot get them to budge. The locking plate does not look like the e30 one so I was wondering if there is something else that I have to do to get the plates to unlock....

I tried both sides and cannot get the tie rods off....


any suggestions?

Either try harder, or use a larger wrench.

got it.... bolted it up to the car itself and used a pipe wrench.
