Ok so I put in the tie rod spacers and now I'm trying to fit my oversized 17s on it. I'm running 225/45/17 tires on 17x8 et 20 sportmax 006s. The physical diameter if the wheels are bigger than stock (rims/tires).
My problem is that when I turn, I can't get full lock without hitting the frame or sway bar on the passenger's side. The rack could not be centered and I know the sway bar sticks out more on the passenger's side but it still hits the frame when turning full left. I also put on new tie rods so the toe in is a bit excessive (not sure how bad). Even if it has massive toe in, it'll smash the sway bars that much more when I get an alignment done.
So what should I do? I'm already running 5mm spacers. I know Erik is running et +2 16x9s. So I guess I'd have to run about 15mm spacers. I'd also have to flare my fenders really bad to allow the wheel to turn freely but thats not a big problem.
I could just remove the spacers and get an alignment but the added steering angle is VERY useful in drifting. I could also run smaller diameter wheels but I just got these 17s. Thoughts?
