I installed some springs on my car, but I'm wondering how long or how much driving I have to do to get to the "Final ride height" ?

How long do springs take to settle?

It's all a giant variable. Determining factors are spring quality, drive time, drive style, miles driven, use, and road surface.
For a medium guesstimate I would say about 90 days and 500 miles. Some people drive a spirited, really hard, on crappy roads and they'll settle in 2 weeks with 100 miles. Others sunday drive, but only on nice days, when the weather is nice, on roads that are freshly paved and it takes about a year with 1000 miles.
Finally, well built springs don't settle down a large amount. This is due to the metal used and how they were made.-tim

Yeah, I'd give it a bit. You can always put in a more thin spring pad (or none, not reccomended) after they have settled. Also GC camber plates will lower it more in the front.
The lowtecs will settle more than something like H&Rs.-tim

people tripping me out with this settling thing.
when you install a spring, put the car down and roll it to the end of the driveway and back... ITS SETTLED.
1. the suspension will have dropped to its lower settled position from the release of geometry and pressure in the shocks
2. springs dont have a "break in" period in which you guys are calling settling.
BUT, springs will sag over time from the weight being on them at a constant rate. A few years will pass and you will see a slight drop.
So eveyone, please understand that when you put the car down and drive around the block, it is what it is.
If you want to raise or lower a small amount, consider adding or removing spring pads.
