It will work. I assume you are thinking about getting some coilover sleeves and springs from GC or something. Many people have gone this route.-tim

You'll have to find shorter bilsteins/spacers if you want to shorten the housings.. Also with the money you'd spend re-valving Bilsteins you couldn't bought Koni's. You don't have to cut the tube up, it's done to gain suspension travel when the car is lowered but the shorter stack height of the camber plates should help with that also- '88 m54 coupe
