B-SPort will not compress past certain point

The driver side bilstein sport on my 325ic wont compress past a certain point, about ride height. Its not coil bind and there is nothing physically stopping it that I can see. has anyone experienced this? what could it be?

Is it hitting a hard stop, or just a lot of resistance?

When I jump on the bumper it just stops and I jacked it up at the C-arm, it wouldn’t compress.

The Bilstein site does mention something:

"Compression depth seems off--check by fully compressing shock and comparing distance "x" to that of a new shock, same part number. If variance between old and new shock exceeds 3/8" (10mm), old shock is defective."

If you still have the warrantly paperwork, by all means return it and get a new one. That sounds like something defective to me, or at the extremes a bent strut, but you'd have to hit something HARD to bend a strut.
