Bilstein HD's

I just installed some Bilstein HD's on the rear of my car. It seems like the rear is higher now. Is that supposed to happen?

EDIT: I took the shocks off a 325es. Maybe the sports models have stiffer springs than my cabrio?

Yes, they are gas pressurized.
