e46 steering rack swappable?

    I fitted the e46 067 purple tag rack to my e30 318is and shortened the guibo.
    Problem is the guibo/uj hits the manifold.
    Anyone experienced this?

      Your problem is you steer from the wrong side of the car.

        I have a ZHP rack in my car. You just have to switch the inner and outer tie rods. Everything else works just the same as the e36 rack

          Don't think your right on this one mate.
          It rubbs on the manifold.
          Spoke to a few people about this and all 318 is's m42's do the same.

            Guys, look at his location! And he says "mate"! It's a bloody RHD car. None of us have problems because we are in LHD cars. RHD cars have to deal with exhaust manifold problems.

                  Has anyone found a solution to the exhaust manifold issue?

                  Also RHD, starting to look at hammers in desperation!
