Will factory style spring pads work with the perch assembly in the rear?

No. There's a big nylon cone piece pressed onto the upper "knob" and the lower perch is occupied by the threaded sleeve.

Why wouldn't the pad fit under the bottom of the threaded sleeve though? Comment

Just wanted to point out you were wrong, the 10mm pad fit perfectly on top of the sleeve, just needed a slight trimming to fit inside the cylinder. This is for future reference, misinformation can suck. Comment
