    Shocks suitable for rally racing

I'm building an e30 for stage rally and I'm looking for a shock that will can handle harsh conditions (bumps, jumps, ect..) but also can be used with lower springs. Right now I'm using stock springs but there will be times when I will want to go a bit lower for tarmac and street driving.

I was going to use billie HDs but I don't want to bottom out while lowered and I fear that Konis aren't tough enough. Advice?

pretty sure there are more "application specific" shocks available that can handle that abuse better. changing the rates on a set of street bilsteins may help but im sure there are manufacturers out there that build a better product that is more reliable.

yup, there are companies out there that build better and more reliable shocks than Bilstein...

OR maybe you need to call Bilstein and check yourself. They build hundreds of shocks for race and rally cars and most of their performance line is built directly off of their street counterparts.

        then again, you're sure...
