OK so I just installed my GC Plates with their CO kit w/ billy sports. I did not cut my strut housing at all as I try to keep my car unhacked like that. Anyhow, I have very minamal movement and can only get -1 on the plate before the alled screw hits the tower opening. Is there another way to get more adjustability without havking my towers.

The opening in the strut tower does limit the adjustability of the camber plates. but even so i can get as much as 3deg of negative camber. I don't know that the marking on the plates have much meaning. Check the camber at the wheel. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

This is before I switched to the new plates with the inset buttonhead bolts...just a little over -3°. Also keep in mind that the markings on the plates are for reference only, they don't represent the actual camber of your wheel due to the variation in people's ride heights and suspension setups.

Im a idiot, I was looking at the allen head set screw and not at the strut bolt, I am reading about -2 on the plates, it looks like more to me and I need to raise a bit too. On a side note, I am running Billy sports with the GC plates and the top of the strut tube is only protruding enough to get the bolt on to sit flush with the top of the strut tube, I dont feel that comfortable with that but I dont know that may be the way it is, GC said the plates were for billys and they were brand new.Comment

Interesting point, mine don't sit much lower than flush. At times I think it isnt threaded enough. Simultaneously, have you experienced any clunking over small bumps? I have some on the passenger side that has developed. Fully rebuilt suspension with less than 1000 miles on it. I don't want to thread jack but if we can figure this out in the same thread that would be optimal lol.Late model granitesilber 325i convertible FS:

This means check ALL of the bolts.
