Darn plastic front strut dust cover came off of bump stop on OEM shock.

The black plastic dust cover is not broken or anything but the driver side dust cover is no longer attached (must not of been pushed on fully when installed). How can I push that dust cover on the bump stop WITHOUT taking off the front strut again? I tried and it is such a tight fit once connected I cant seem to re-connect it. Any ideas?

To put the dust cover back into place you'll have to pull the strut and remove the spring. Not what you wanted to hear, but not that big of a job either if you have a ball joint press and spring compressors.
