Ive heard they are shit. I wouldnt doubt it with the track record of bav auto. Sagging seems to be the common concensus. Although, i tihnk someone put some on an e28 on here recently. Maybe he could chime in. Cant remember who it was.
Hmmm, well I wasn't looking for performance springs....just something a little lower than stock and not too bouncy. I've got original springs with over 170,000 miles on my '89 325i. I'm doing the front struts and steering rack in 2 week and I figured I might replace the springs while I do it. I've never raced or tracked my car and I don't plan to...... it's my daily driver but I do beat on it.
Mike (///M Powered) has the Bav Auto springs on his e30. They would suit your needs nicely. However, Mike started autocrossing and found that the springs do not perform well enough for his tastes.
If you are just looking for a lower stance, I see nothing wrong with those springs (especially at that price).
i test drove a 318is the other day with the bav springs, the guy said they had settled a lot, and it looked that way. they felt nice and plush for street driveing, but the body roll was there. i liked how they were pretty soft, but would not hold there own agenst a h+r sport. the car was also running on 18's, and it still rode very soft. short test drive so i couldn't test every senerio. but i still would stay with the h+r's.

Couldn't have said it better. I had more apearance in mind than performance when I bought them, so my car sits nice and low( too low for me almost) and is nice for commuting, but not track/auto-x.
Since you don't plan on tracking, I think they would be fine.
Edit: And No, they don't come with spring pads. I think bavauto has some little kit that comes with new dust boots and some other crap you can purchase seperately.
They dont sag really, but they are soft. At first I thought it was because my shocks sucked, but I got a set of bilstiens and my rear end is still very soft. They dont have a progressive coil wind so every bump is felt unlike the H+R sport or cup kit springs.
I bough the springs for a cabrio so they dont fit my high arched early model. The rear end sits way too high. Front drop is nice, lowered about 1.5 in front maybe 1 in the back after i took out my spring pads. I am going to be upgrading in the spring and selling these cheap, probably about 100 bucks.
if you want a slammed vehicle, these do a prettty good job, especially if you lod up 3 of your friends in the back seat. David (sidewaysdave) has these on his car, granted they are used, but we sat 3 people in the back seat of his car and it droppe the car another inch or inch and half. his 17's were tucked by about almost an inch!
