removing rear springs

The bentley manuel tells me to take out a bolt throught the final drive bushings, when i do this how low is the final drive going to drop, i did it and it dropped maby about 3 inches, is this right on or does it go lower. it seems like it should go lower b/c the spring is still a bit compressed and cant be removed. thanks

Just undo the Sway bar Endlink and it should drop plenty.

yea thats what i thought i would do but would the cv joints be ok. at least thats what the bentley bible told me.

don't need to drop the final drive
undo the sway bar endlinks and that gives you plenty of room

Ya just jack back up the trailing arm once the spring is out, this will elminate the extreme angle on the halfshafts.

If it´s the stock springs they should be soft enough for you to use a crowbar to wedge them out,,

instead of trying to use spring clamps on those springs,

if your are installing lowering springs you don´t need to force them in,
