kyb struts w bilstein gland nuts?

so i have kyb/vogtland cuz im on a budget,my struts were to rusty to get gland nut off so i got sum junkyard ones in really nice shape,but had bilstein sports in them,my kybs are a lil loose in housing and shaft is alot smaller then the bils,dont think there 45mm tho,kyb #364021,only # listed,also gland nut does not tighten unless i space strut with washers, even then the whole is bigger than shaft but when tight it holds strut pretty securely, anybody done this? or point me were to get stock glandnuts? i searched pelican w no luck, thanx

My KYBs are the only set I have installed in an E30...they fit snugly.

From your destruction of english as a sentence, the best guess I can give is that you purchased the wrong size insert or housing. If the Bilsteins are still good, I'd use them anyhow.
