    Rear shock mount

Can anyone tell me from this picture what rear shock mount I have? I'm curious as I never got what it was from the PO.

Some form of an O.E. RSM.

I am surprised that they havent busted yet. Mike (///M Powered) installed Bilstien sports and his OE mounts busted in a matter of days. Then again, they were probably originals from 1984.

I'm suprised the PO didn't upgrade them. Oh well.

maybe that's where the clunking is coming from.........

any suggestions for upgrade? E46 M3 cabrio? GC RSM?

Yes...very possible that is where the clunking is comming from. I would go for a solid mount and call it good.

Rob Case (Skafrog) tipped me off to Bimmerworld's lifetime RSM's and I'll either grab those for $39.....or their urethane/aluminum one for $89.

Knowing me, I'll probably opt for the one with urethane.....everything else is urethane anyway.....(besides the tranny mounts......for now)
