Upon some checking, my PS rack is pissing like a Harley in heat. Its a DD so I dont want to delete the power steering, and I dont want to go through the pain in the ass for the e36 rack swap. Upon checking RealOEM for interchange, there is a pant number difference from 11/86 on. mine is a 07/86 build date, and a potential donor (in the scrapyard) is an 88 cabrio. both are non airbag cars, with ABS (as if that should matter). My main concern is what are the differences between the early and late racks? if anyone can spread some knowledge my way, It would be appreciated. Most important is if they will indeed interchange with each other with minimal issues.
