E30 Cab and M3 springs?

Can I use m3 springs on an e30 cab while still using oem cab shocks? I know that this is ok for the coupe but I couldn't find any definitive answers on whether or not this setup would blow the shocks because of the added weight of the vert. Any help is appreciated.

I would do Bilsteins and M3 springs.

I've had the exact same set-up on my '91 vert for 20K miles with no problems.
