OH MY GOD I PUT A SPACER ON MY TIE ROD AND I'M GOING TO DIE A FIREY DEATH!!!!11!!!

Ok now that we have that out of the way this is how I installed a steering angle spacer in my car. What this does is increase the amount of angle your front wheels can turn at full lock. Yes it increases the amount your steering wheels turns but who cares. This is really something that drifters do so they can have more sideways.
Yes I know drifting is stupid
Yes I know increasing steering wheels rotation lock to lock is dumb
Yes I know I'm stupid for doing this
I am going to cry myself to sleep tonight because of it. I promise.
Any who on with the write up
1. Jack up the front of the car
2. Pull the steering rack boots towards the tire to gain access to the inner tie rod.
3. Now unbolt the inner tie rod from the rack

4. install the spacer like so...

All this part consists of is a washer I used a 5mm thick washer that can be bought in any hardware store. You may need to drill the center out just a little to get it to slide over the threads.
5. put everything back together. Once you get it all buttoned up you are going to have a lot of toe out so you'll need an alignment. Being that I like to DIY, I did it myself. All you need is a string, a measuring tape and some basic hand tools to do this. Here's a picture on how to set it up

If you want more info on how to do an alignment yourself just google search DIY alignment
6. Here is a before and after shot of increased angle...
Before

After

There you have it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
