    Problem need some input

I recently picked up a 1990 325i and found an issue with the piece of metal that holds the sway bar bracket in place. Basically the on the passenger side of the front axle support bar the metal is missing and I'm not sure what to do?

    Any thoughts?

    1. I'm going to talk to some metal fabricators tomorrow and see if they can weld me a new piece.

    2. Purchase no weld panel adhesive from Eastwood.com and fabricate my own bracket out of metal and then use the no weld and rivet it back in place.

I don't want to purchase one unless I can come up with one for cheap.

    Thanks for the input

I had the same problem on my daily beater, I just bent up some steel and sandwiched it between the subframe and the 'framerails'. It has held up for 3 months now with no issues. Welding in a new piece would definitely be a better long term option or go to the junkyard and grab a new front subframe.
