Ground Control Spec E30 Camber/Caster Plates

Can anyone confirm the setup please? Is it #9 (upper spring plate), then #7 (dust collar), then the GC plate?
    Thanks

The GC Spec E30 plates go directly against the upper spring perch (#9).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      Thanks
I have them set up the way as you said. My steering won't re-center after turning. Is it just a matter of breaking in the bearings? Man they are tight.

Those plates aren't meant to be used on a street car and they do tend to drag. Over time they will loosen up a bit, but they will never recenter like the OE upper strut mounts. When you put those on a car you drive it full time!

10-4. What are my other options for camber/caster adjustment with stock spring size? Vorschlag?

You might have the top nut too tight. I did that and it caused the problem you're having.

Those camber plates do need the bearing to break in. It is not a matter of straight line miles, but a matter of how much "steering" is done.

The whole weight of the car is on the bearing, so it has to be built extra tight so it doesn't end up extra loose after it breaks in.

You are welcome to call me or email me, and we can discuss.
