I don't really want to drop the car. I have bilstein HDs, but would like to improve the handling. I have an 87 325is. How much of a difference will sway bars make? Better bang for the buck than lowering?

Sways, springs, and shocks need to be thought of as a complementary package that works together to improve handling. While a little stiff for the street, H&R Race springs, Bilstein Sport shocks, and 22/19mm sways yield excellent handling at a reasonable cost. That said, stiffer sways will improve handling over what you have now.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I did the bilstein HDs only about 3 years ago and I didn't want to go through the work of lowering it. Plus, I really don't want to have clearance issues on speed bumps. Plus, I eventually will swap the motor out and from what I understand, I can then only drop it about 1 inch in order to keep the oil pan safe.Comment
