    Power steering pump?

I feel like i'm getting half of my power steering; It is not unbarably difficult to turn the wheels at low speed but there is definately a decent amount of resistance. My main issue is that when i turn the wheel and accelerate around a turn, if i let go of the wheel it does not swing back to center - it stays where I left it (for the most part).

I've just replaced the fluid which made the steering seem a little smoother but still not fixed. I'm guessing it could be the pump? Any other suggestions as to the source of my troubbles?

    Thanks!

I would lean more towards the rack binding than the pump. You could try jacking up the front wheels and turning the wheel with the car not running, if it is hard to turn the wheel I would suspect binding.

Misalignment, binding ball joints, tie rod end, or upper strut bearing can cause the wheel not to want to re-center. Check all of that first.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

by ball koints do you mean both CA ball joints and tierod ball joints? also my CA bushings are cracked, could that be part of the problem as well?
