    Need suspension suggestion for 24 valve swap

    Ok I just finished reading pages from my search. i searched on COILOVER and read pages there and then just SHOCK SPRING and read those.


    the coil over option I want however it sounds like I will have to fork over at least 1500 dollars for a off the shelf ready to bolt on Coilover kit such as GC where as many piece theirs together with shocks from Bilstein or Koni and then purchase Camber plates for more money then pay more money to have their strut housings cut and welded for the GC coilover conversion kit and its not so cheap anymore in the end.


    now I am leaning more towards a good spring and shock combo and I saw Bav Auto has a nice bilstein sport shock and their bav auto springs for 562 dollars as a package deal which sounds appealing until I read people rave about the H&R Race springs and Bilstein shocks (and of course some say they hated it as well)


    what I am concerned about is my oil pan being too low, I want to have no fender gap with at least a 15- 16 inch wheel probably 7-8 inches wide and the proper tire as well.


    i have always had coilovers but honestly i always set them once and that was it, i only ever got them because I liked being able to set my initial ride height the first time always in fear I would be stuck with a pre determined ride height form a spring and shock combo and i don't want to get a combo that out of the box will leave my oil pan too low to the ground.


    I'm also having a hard time finding vendors or sites that sell or advertise E30 suspension kits. only found Bav auto, ECS and GC so far.
