Installed springs but still 4x4'ed in the back, whats up?

I put RD sport greens in my car last weekend (I know, without pics this post is worthless) the front looks good, but the back is still too high for my liking. It's a 318i, so I know it's lighter, anything I can do to make it look better? Should I take the spring pads out? Thanks.

had the springs been out of a car for a while, it needs to settle a bit. you could try taking out a spring pad to lower it a little bit more, not really a whole lot, but it could be what you want.

The 318i is VERY light in the rear. No battery, and no tar.

I have spring on the rear of mine that will drop a 325 about 2.5" (read: slam it). It lowered the rear of mine only about 1.75 - 2". See my sig for a picture. Aside from coil-overs, the rear of mine is about the lowest you'll ever see the rear of a 318. I have the springpads out too.

Ride height thread says your rear is at 24.5 , mine is the same with spring pads. (Bavarian-make that Crap-auto springs) I win ;)

Yeah, I guess you can always buy saggy-ass springs and drop them in there. Just pick up some old BavAutos or Spax springs and drop them in.

              :stupid:

I'm thinking of getting H&R race springs, I'll look like a 4x4 again though haha.

Welcome to the club. I had the RD blues and they sit a bit higher in the back on the back, by design. Its better for the balance and usually looks great on the late model cars. Our higher rear arch makes it worse because it also sits farther from the bottlecap.

I removed my bottom spring pad and that helped.

Kyle. my Racing Dynamics blues are in a box with the control arms as we speak. ;)

I might get a day off to come up and pick them up...i wonder how much it would cost to ship them down here.
