    Anyone actually run KW V1?

I am thinking of giving them a try for an e30 M3 5lug suspension. It looks like they are progressive springs which I like. Thoughts? I am just looking for low and comfort. My GC kit i way to harsh for what I want to do to this other car... and thats just 375/450

It's rather uncommon in the E30 scene. I know some Euro guys run them, but not sure if they are on here. I say try it out if you have the $ to blow.

Also, you could try these out. Coilovers that use Koni's. They look legit.

End price is $1100. Look like this.

I was going to run them until I starting reading lots of stories of them leaking and other bad things. I came to the conclusion that they are more for "low&slow," but that may be what you're looking for. Though even some of the people who only had street cars still had problems with them. Search around, there's lots to read about, but I don't remember how many of them were actually e30 people.

I will say my H&R's are a bit extreme for east coast, And that is compared to a J stock equipped car.

I've run KW V1 and V2 in various cars over the years, have some V1s in the E30 right now.
Best setup i've had to be honest, the ride is firm but not stiff for sure, they go lower than you'll ever need, ( the exhaust and oilpan are on the deck with more than half the threads left on the coilover, lol )

in over 20 years using KW and Weitec ( made by KW ) i've never had any issues. cant say the same for many of the others on the market.
the biggest problem with KW used to be that they only supplied coilover on an exchange basis, which was kinda crazy.

You can now order them fully built for a plug and play install, i got mine through www.tunershop.com about $1300 shipped (free shipping, took less than a week to get to Cali from Germany :-D )

Awesome! thanks. do you have any pics of the kit itself? Are the spring progressive or is there a helper type spring in the front? these for a standard e30 or e30 M3 setup?

I was looking at that FK kit too. Did you have to send in cores? Stiffness?

i have pics somewhere, actually the whole install on the car is featured in this months PBMW mag ;)
the tunershop website also has pics of the actual kit too.

the fronts are a conventional spring with a second helper spring.
the setup is specific to the E30, though there are also E30 M3 kits i believe.
