    e30 bushing !!! KIT !!!

started this topic on bimmerforums but figured It would get more of a responce on here.

*** I am not looking for stock bushings. Aftermarket/ track grade( not sure if these have a specific name) is what I am looking for***

    1. do they make a bushing KIT. as in one part number from a vendor with all or most of the suspension bushings. (trailing arms, sway bar, control arms, tie rods, ball joints, subframe, ect. )

    2. If #1 does not exist anywhere in the universe. Does anyone know of somewhere I can get the dimensions for each bushings( ID, OD, length, style, ect.) so that I can try and part together a universal kit if possible. Obviously Im going to look into this after I Find the Dimensions.

    3. Do all the e30 models have the same subframe and suspension dim/mounts. ie I have a 325e, are these parts the same as the 318i, 325i, m3, ect

You would be looking at a Urethane bushings then?

1/ not as far as i know. everyone likes to set up thier suspension differently. Most of your typical vendors sell everything in urethane and OEM though, and you may be able to negotiate a deal if you are buying a few $100 worth

2/ See above. No point mucking around trying to find out them yourself when everything is at your fingertips anyway imo

3/ Only differences i know of are between M3 and everything else. The M3s front sway bar mounts differently iirc, so unless you are running M3 struts disregard. The other difference i know of is the M3 has offset control arm bushings which increase the caster. these offset bushes are compatable with standard E30, but not from the factory. up to you whether increasing caster is benificial to you or not.

ok well anyone know where i can find sizes. im going to try and piece together a set of "univerals" bushings from energy suspension. They have a List of bushing types along with different sizes, and I can get these cheaper throught a vendor on honda-tech.

If you buy bushings please measure these if you can remember.

I've never see a "kit" of bushings offered. Nor have i seen documentation of dimensions.

What to use, where, depends on what the car's use will be. For a daily driver, use the OE bushings. If the car will be a daily driver and see limited track duty, use the OE bushings. If the car is to be mostly a "track rat" with some street driving, use polyurethane bushings (PowerFlex or AKG). If the car will be a pure track rat, use delrin offset control arm bushings, AKG aluminum subframe & diff mount bushings, and poly trailing arm & sway bushings.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
