Dropping my Car, I HAVE QUESTIONS

    Hey Guys,

I have a 1990 BMW 325i Coupe, I going to buy a package off of Turner Motorsports to lower my car, It's the H&R Race Package w/Swaybar kit.

My real question is, is there anything I should worry about when lowering this car, like bushings, tires, the springs themselves, things to watch for when lowering it? Just some input of things to watch for would be so awesome of you guys to do.

Also I plan on keeping my original Bottle caps and tires.

    Thanks Guys

Worry about your control arms and control arm bushings as well as your strut/shock mounts.

I would find someone in your area that has the suspension setup that you are looking at buying, you may find that it is too low/too stiff for your liking.Other than that, I would replace the strut mounts and read through all sorts of suspension install threads (I just posted one from installing my suspension this last saturday).

        What would go wrong there.

My strut mounts were original, The rubber loses its stiffness (leading to less connected suspension and steering feel) and the bearings in the front strut mounts get gunked up, rusty, and dont rotate freely anymore.

I thought that I was going to have to replace my power steering pump because of how hard my steering was, but I just replaced my suspension and the steering feels great now, no need to replace the pump!. New balljoints helped with that, but I know that the strut mounts did as well.

With the the amount of work involved in changing the springs and dampers, it is worth doing it right, even if you have to do like I did and save up some money for a few months to afford all the parts to do it right.

If I space out my tires, would i need to roll the fenders?
