    Putting suspension on soon

So I am putting suspension on my 87 325es in the next couple weeks. I'm wanting to know if I need to get bolts or something else that that could break on me.

I know that I should replace bushings, which I will probably at a later time but for now I'm just trying to get the car driving decent as the tires are for sh*t (new wheels ordered and tires will be on) and also my shocks are shot. I need to have it decent for our state inspection.

Now if I can throw in the shock and springs with no issues then that will be good and I can go back and do bushings and what not later.

*Example of what I'm looking for*
I came from Acura Integras and its a known fact that when you replace rear shocks plan on replacing the rear lca bolts as well since they always seize up.

Thanks for any help in advance, and I do plan on going back to tighten up the car more I'm just trying to get it more drive able bc driving with shot shocks sucks lol

The nylon locknuts are not supposed to be re-used. All of the suspension that I bought came with new locknuts. If you are not replacing the control arms or tie rods then get new locknuts from the dealership. Hardware store fasteners (SAE/English) are generally class 1 or class 2 at best, which means that the fasteners they have will fit, but the threads are not toleranced as tight as a class 3 which is pobably used for suspension parts since class 3 fasteners resist loosening themselves much better than 1 and 2. I believe the class 1,2, and 3 only applies to SAE/Englsh fasteners but the bottom line is that a hardware store probably wont carry the quality of nut/bolt that you would want on a car suspension.
