The rear shocks on my 88 convertible are hissing when I go over a speed bump. I am not interested in lowering, just need good stock or a little better shock. I have seen KYB, toyo, bilstein, boge. For a stock ride and least amount of money, which brand would you use?

Hissing? What makes you think they're bad? They should make some noise when being compressed while going over something as big as a speed bump.Comment
