Cabrio rear suspension SQUEAK and clunk

Hello. I thought my shock mounts were shot so I replaced them and the rear shocks, too. I have a squeak coming from the pass side rear over bumps along with a thump/rattle that happens when I run over a series of small bumps (like a wsshboard surface). I cannot see what is worn out under there. Anyone have an idea what the likely culprits are, and what I should be looking for? Thanks.

take a look at your front upper strut mounts. If they are cracked or uneven then replace them. sometimes the mounts will blow but keep the shock in place. they will get stuck in a pushed up position. Its kind of hard to explain. check them out, it sounds like your problem. could also very well be your control arm bushings

squeeking in the rear is something I fix just now. REAR subframe bushing. All noise gone. Also replace the swaybar bushing as well, as that can cause other squeeking issues, but the main squeek is from subframe bushing.

Found the clunk -- worn out u-joint. Had them replaced and the driveshaft balanced and all is good.

Still trying to figure out the squeak, though. The bushings back there look pretty good.
