sway bar swap question

Hi all, i have an 84 318i and a rotted 325i. i know the sway bars on the 318i are front-18mm and none on the rear. The 325i has 20mm on the front and 12mm on the rear. Can i swap the sway bars from the 325i onto my 318i? Also are rear sway bars different from front sway bars? i was just wondering because if not i could put the larger 18mm one from the front of the 318i onto the rear of the 318i. Thanks for your help

Yes you can put the 325i bars onto the 318i.
No you cannot interchange front and rear bars.
