I broke the subframe mounting tab for the sway bar (front driver side), and was wondering if you can just weld it back into place, or if I'd need to buy a new mount.

It can be welded, but its a bad spot.

I was faced with the same problem a few weeks ago. After doing research, I found that it makes more sense to get a weld job. My e30 is my daily and doing a subframe swap just wasn't practical. Instead, I saved myself time, trouble, and money by getting it welded. And its holding up just fine.
